A time to pray is a time to pay!

Sunday or church day as we all know it be, is now in my books of the most profitable day for business these days. Africa is going through a rather very complicated landscape of spirituality nowadays.

Africans are very spiritual beings, this cultural norm is derived from our fore fathers, there was a time in this life where people would perform rituals for needs such as rain, clarity and peace. Although the manner in which the spiritual activities would differ, it was all done senseably and spiritually.

There was never a time in those years that you would hear of spiritual healers spraying congregants with insectisides or feeding them with life animals or telling them to eat grass in the name of being healed and delivered. This is rather a very disturbing "trend" if I may call it. We saw how a certain spiritual leader in Nigeria used people's bodies as foundation of his church, those bodies were probably a sacrifice. Mostly because these "prophets" have followers and these followers are very devoted to God and spirituality. These congregants are mostly made up of Africans, and some of who are very vulnerable and poor. These people are made to believe that if they eat, drink or be sprayed with insecticides they will become "rich" and be "blessed." They are being fed with so much propaganda, mostly because of their statuses they will believe and be obedient followers.

These prophets know nothing about the landscape of spirituality, they know nothing about God, hence they have no pity for the poor. People are being used to testify to false miracles for a small fee, and all these people are the most misfortuned and poverty stricken individuals who would do anything to put food on the table. These ill mannered so called prophets are filthy rich because of the vulnerability of our spiritual mothers and fathers. It's so painful to see how these people follow these prophets. Some give them money they don't even have, the poorest of the poor remains poor. Some wait in anticipation for their miracles but they are waiting is in vain. Our people should pray, for the very book of life warned us that in the last days there shall be false prophest. We have arrived in the last hour, people envy to become God. They lie in His name, they make false promises, they use and abuse spiritual encounters. They take Advantage of the needy and have no mercy at all. People are urged to pray, go to your spiritual corner and pray for descernment, ask for a spiritual eye, make sure you are able to differentiate between God and Gods. Because suddenly pray day has become pay day!
